Dinner tonight in the far west village or meatpacking

  • 8

My girlfriend and I are taking out a friend from Connecticut that doesn't get out in the city much and is definitely a foodie. Looking for excellent food but not prix fixe. We want to take her someplace we can walk to from our apartment. Luckily we have some good choices. Thinking about:

dell'anima
Wallse
Braeburn
Del Posto
Colicchio and Sons
Other suggestions?

Thanks!

  1. I love Wallse but my favorite is Del Posto. I like everything about Del Posto from the room, ambiance to service. Colicchio is excellent. I like the fresh fish available there. Good luck and have a nice night out.

      1. Perry St. is great, but my favorite these days is Recette.

We finally made it to Recette. You are so right. It is a gem!

Great! I'm so glad you liked it.

          1. Sit in the front room or bar at Scarpetta?

            1. Our guest chose Colicchio and Sons. It was a pretty good meal. I think that space is too big for it to me succesful though. They tried there best to soften it up but it still feel likes an artifact from the bygone boom times. I thought the food was very good though.
