Central Steakhoue New Haven

I just checked the website and it says closed for extended summer vacation from June 27th-August 24th. I know it is slow during the summer, but I wonder if something else is going on.

Central also closed for 6 weeks last year. For many restaurants in New Haven the summer is the slowest time of year and general overhead goes up because of the enormous cost of A.C.. I've always thought that closing sometime in July or August around here is a no brainer. Bentara was closed for week, so was Fosters. We are closing for 2 weeks so we can catch up on some painting and general freshening up. Take it from me and ignore the rumors.

Keep in mind that it is the same ownership as Bentara across the street, so it isn't as if their entire operation is shut down. That being said, I have heard some rumors that business had not been good there.......

Funny - - I went by a small restaurant today and they had a sign outside, Closed for Air-Conditioner repairs. Kind of cracked me up.
