Best Pakistani?

Recently discovered Zamzam Halal market on Washington near Sepulveda (11028 Washington Blvd, Culver City, CA 90232) and love it. The problem is that they are only open on weekends and I've already had all 3 menu items many times. Does anyone want to suggest more Pakastani places?

I think the best (atleast that I've had) are Al Watan followed by Al Noor. Though both pale in comparison to the Bay Area's Pakistani food.

Very interesting! I'll be in the Bay Area next week! Where should I visit?

San Francisco has its own discussion board, so Bay Area restaurants are off topic here on LA. Please post a new topic, or search the SF Bay Area board for recommendations.

              it usually has
              Lamb and or Chicken Biryani
              Kebabs
              Occasionally Lamb Pullou
              they call lamb "mutton"

Must try ZamZam. Agree with others -- al watan for meat. al noor for curries.

I just tried ZamZam market. Talk about a place Chowhound was made for! a few folding tables, an open kitchen, almost no groceries, and usually no food to sell. But on the weekends, they have "ready-to-buy" huge portions of biryani, which I tried, and was extremely impressive. tasted homemade because basically it was. I hear rumors that they sometimes sell this great stuff during the week (maybe just the kebobs) I'd like to know more. 5 stars!

Hey glad you liked it! I'm always surprised at the lack of customers there

it's almost comically unprepared for anybody to come in there, what with the three sad card tables as tables, nobody behind the counter, etc. but it's great.

Every now and then I make the trek over to Shahnawaz (from Culver City). I love their bihari kabab and nehari. They have a special lunch buffet on Sundays and it allows me to venture away from my 2 staples..

I haven't been to Shahnawaz since, well it was during the last presidential campaign season, but the curry that they make with whole jalapenos is so good!
