Skipping away from Minneapolis for a long weekend planned by my sister to Door County. I'm not sure exactly what city in Door County we are going to land in but I gotta have a list of must eat spots. Would prefer local/sustainable/organic. Where do we go? Thanks 'hounds!!

We enjoy going to The Whistling Swan. It's a restaurant owned by the same people who have The Hinterland in Green Bay and in Milwaukee. The Swan is in Fish Creek. They use local sustainable items . The menu changes almost daily.

We were just there again for the 4th of July weekend.

#1 on your list must be a fish boil. There are many favorite places - that topic could be a post by itself. We like the Old Post Office in Ephraim. It is really something to know that the fish filets in the pot just came from the lake that very morning. (Surprisingly good ribs, too.)

Also have to recommend the Harbor Fish Market and Grille in Bailey's Harbor ("the quiet side"). We were there for dinner on the 4th of July night. I had an unbelievable maple glazed grilled pork loin - so juicy and tender.

You're welcome. We love Ephraim and always stay there. Since you'll be there, be sure to go to Wilson's for ice cream!

Don't miss Al Johnson's in Sister Bay. If you have kids they will love seeing the goats on the roof!
