Party Sandwiches

I will be hosting a garden tea party following a baptism in a few weeks. Any suggestions for really good party sandwiches? I live in the west end but am willing to travel to get a tasty assortment of sandwiches. Thanks!

I was at a business meeting at Yonge/St Clair where they bought in sandwiches (party-style platters) for lunch.
They were so good I followed up and discovered they were from Boccone (Yonge south of St Clair). The retail selection is excellent (I'm now a regular), but have never ordered the platters.
    I can't find a website but the catering # is 960 1500

I've had a catered lunch from Boccone too and everyone really enjoyed it. Here's the website

I had my 'flash' turned off (as it crashes ny browser) so I got nothing useful when I originally went to their site.
        Works fine now.

Great suggestions - thank you! I've decided to get a selection of sandwiches from Centre Street Deli and a selection from Boccone. And now I'll just hope it doesn't rain!

While I agree that Lesley's Party Sandwiches and Centre St Deli do great party sandwiches and I have had bad experiences with Pickle Barrel, i have only seen them offer only dairy egg, salmon, cream cheese. I suspect if you are looking for something a bit more upscale look elsewhere.

Thank you so much for all the suggestions. I'm going to make some calls and maybe do a few taste tests before deciding - but everything I've looked at so far looks delicious.

If you wanted more 'upscale', try Urban Fare at Bathurst and St. Clair. I was at an event and they did a fantastic party sandwich platter...different than the more traditional (fish and egg based) party sandwich places.

Lesley's Party Sandwiches. That's her bread and butter..so to speak!

INHO...Centre Dels is the best, with Leslie's in 2nd. Pickle Barrel does not compare.

I love Franco Freshy's sandwiches. Great variety, good quality ingredients and reasonable prices. http://www.francofreshy.com/menu_cold...

You should look at Merci Mon Ami. They are a really good lunch restaurant in Liberty Village and make amazing sandwiches. I know they do catering and we have had their sandwiches for a couple of work functions.

We got some cutesy ones from Pickel Barrel for a baby shower once. It's cheaper if you order the boxes and platter them yourself, or you can order the platters. I think Whole Foods also does crustless tea sandwiches.
