A lot of restaurants have stopped serving Chilean Sea Bass because the species have been catagorized as ' Endangered ' due to over fishing!! Should settle for Florida Garoupa or West coast black/ling cod instead.

Ethos isn't far from Union Square, maybe a 10 minute walk north. They have sea bass (not Chilean, but similar in texture and taste), which they call kalogria on the menu. It's $19 a pound, which isn't too bad a price for the area. Lots of other whole fish for takeout, too, like branzino.
