Best key lime pie?

Want to celebrate my brother's birthday with a key lime pie, since this is his favorite. Where should I go to get it? I live in Bedford, MA, but I'll drive almost anywhere.

My sister used to live in Miami, and she makes a pretty damn good KLP. Taught it to my wife whose is almost as good as her's.

I had a big birthday a few years ago and sis ordered one from Joe's. Made it very difficult to order a KLP anywhere else for quite some time.

Agree. It's much easier to make your own than to find a good one in the Boston area. And you can find Nellie and Joe's key lime juice in many grocery stores. You can also find actual key limes at Whole Foods and Trader Joes on occasion.

If you are going to make your own and can't find key limes at the store, it's actually preferable to use the fresh juice of non-key limes than to use bottled key-lime juice. That said, sorry I can't tell you where to find a good key lime pie in Boston. I have heard that Tupelo has a good one, and for carry-out you could try Petsi's Pies, Can anyone confirm? I am also suspicious of mail-order pies---especially one that needs refrigeration, but hey I've never tried that pie so I can't really unvouch for it.
