Au Vieux Comptoir in the 1st
Has anyone been here before and what were your opinions? A local recommended this place to us last May and we enjoyed it so much we went twice during our 17 days in Paris. I don't think I've ever heard anyone else talk about it (maybe for good reason?) but I'm interested in what the experts think.
We enjoyed the figs and serrano ham in a balsamic reduction, my scallops a'lorange were divine and the fromage blanc with a raspberry coulis melted in our mouths. My hubby loved his andouillette and at our second visit, my steak was that perfect blue rare that can send me into exstacy! We had our lovely server recommend a different wine for each of our courses and she did a fabulous job. Dinner was about 100 euros both times with 3 courses each and 5-6 glasses of wine.
So, just curious if anyone else out there has been and what they thought, or even have recommendations for our next time.
