Looking for a place downtown for Sunday brunch - two people like breakfast and two only eat lunch . We will be going at noon.

    Greetings, flowergirl!

I heartily recommend the Pacific Dining Car for a wonderful Sunday brunch. They are open 24/7/365 and you can virtually order anything off any menu at any time. For me, the breakfast menu is preferred. Amazingly, in nearly 50 years of patronage, I’ve yet to have dinner there. Among my favorites are the truffled eggs, the midnight cowboy rib eye, the hash – either crab or roast beef and the banana-pecan pancakes. Likewise, one or two of their outstanding Bloody Marys is de rigueur. Stately ambience and superb, old school service as expected from an 89-year old LA dining institution.

Agree with the PDC rec, but for a slightly different atmosphere: Nickel Diner.

Or if you want to try something a little off the beaten path, give Ktchn 105 a look. http://www.theivgroup.com/ktchn105/
