Clo Wine Bar

I'm looking for feedback on Clo Wine Bar in the Time Warner building. I checked the CH archives and didn't see much. I get the concept and understand that the pours are small and expensive, but I love the idea of trying different wines without committing to a whole glass. I'm wondering if the atmosphere is comfortable and if it is worth a visit.

My husband and I are visiting NYC at the end of August and only have a limited time to go out for drinks. Alternate wine bar suggestions would also be appreciated.

Clo was quite chaotic when I went. It's a weird mix of mostly loud people talking about wine and trying to figure out if they should serve themselves from the little dispenser things or order from a waiter. The wines are good but seem expensive.

if you are going to be on the west side check out casellula.

+1 for Casellula. Also, Ardesia is one additional block west, but worth the walk in my opinion. Friendly staff and thoughtful small plates.

I haven't actually been there, but have walked by-it's carved out of the hallway area by shelves housing goods that I assume are for sale-it seems crowded and noisy and not at all pleasant.
