Mission Beach Cafe: Burger done right

Stopped by Mission Beach Cafe for lunch for the first the other day and had their $13 burger and fries. I have to say it is my favorite gourmet burger in SF to date. It is a straight forward version served to order with melted Gruyère cheese and caramelized onions, lettuce & tomato on a thinly crusted bun that held up to the juicy burger.

Didn't see any mention of it on CH, so I thought it was worthy of posting.

That is good information. I have eaten brunch at Mission Beach Cafe a number of times and did not care for it, but I will try out the burger in the near future.

Have you had the burger at Serpentine? Very, very delicious. Great cocktails, too.

I love Serpentine's burger as well. I did enjoy the short rib hash I had at Mission Beach Cafe though. I'll add their burger to my list.

Thanks for the tip. They also do a great job with their desserts (pie!) and coffee. I'd stop in more often if their prices were a bit lower.
