Best ""cheap eats" Sit down/table service restuarants on the westside...

I realize everyone has a different idea of value/cheap..for purposes of my question,
say $50 for two including a glass of wine for each!
thanks for any and all ideas on the Westside

It's funky and informal, but the Caribbean food at Port Royale Cafe in Santa Monica is a sit down, table service place- most dishes are about $14, and the byo charge for wine is $5. Bring a Kabinett riesling to tame some of the heat. Dr. Loosen's "Dr. L" is about $10-$14 and low enough in alcohol that you can even have 2 glasses each!

Monte Alban is a good standby with tasty, quality food, beer & wine, table service, enough tables to get a seat, reasonable prices (less than $20 pp)

I don't know if you consider this westside (I don't know if I do :/ ), but Mezza in Culver City I think is a great value. Their portions are very generous and ~$12-$16~ish IIRC. I don't recall their wine prices, but I believe it was ~$10/glass. It was also a comfortable, quiet place to dine with good service.

my go-to place for cheap sit down table service that offers excellent price/quality/quantity ratios is shamshiri grill in westwood.
          they offer wine too.

I really like Blue Plate Oysterette in Santa Monica on Ocean Ave. Great fried clams and very fresh seafood.

you must not eat very much if you can get out of BPO for $25/pp including a glass of wine.

Several large plates on in the menu for for $14-$19. Throw in a sub $10 glass of wine and you're good to go.

Sometime it isn't really necessary to respond to every single post. Especially if you're going to post again 5 minutes later.

it took me a while to figure out a restaurant that fit the bill for the op.
at the time i made my first post i didn't know that there would even be a second post.
i guess that never happens to you.

Is this another (slightly different) variation of the same question that you posted here http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/7160... or is this post somehow different than that one?
