Trio Chef at Nuno Mendes' Loft....Is it a Go?

Hey all,

I have decided to do a blow out dinner one night in London and looked into Nuno Mendes' Loft Project. The nights I will be in London he will have the executive chef from Trio Restaurant in Malmo in. Is this worth the 125 Pound cost?

when i went nuno was cooking (review on my blog incl. pictures of all the dishes) and i thought it was worth it. i don't know how the guest chefs are working out though.

i'd expect that nuno would make sure it's up to scratch as it's all part of his brand which he seems to be taking a lot of care to develop - i received an email yesterday about his cooking classes which referred to trying "mendesi food" which seemed to be the language of someone thinking about branding!

Yea...that is my conundrum....given this is seemingly the year for Nordic chefs I am intrigued....just not much on the boards or any other food sites re Trio....Hmmm

i think you should go. Norway will be brought to you in an intimate and personal setting. you won't be able to experience this anywhere else in london and certainly not in a setting like loft.

          Thanks funthyme....

I also can't get that out here in San Francisco so I think its a go! Wish me luck on securing a reservation.
