FL Native heading to Boston for 3 days

I will be visiting Boston for business next week (staying at the Omni Parker House). I have been roaming the boards looking for best picks for my meals. There are so many great suggestions! I believe I have decided on the Paramount for a breakfast and Chacarero for a lunch. Based on what I've read if in the mood for seafood I will head over to Neptune.

However, I am looking for some more suggestions. I would love for it to be in walking distance, but I don't mind hopping on the T. I need a breakfast place that opens early (6:30), another lunch and a couple of dinner places. My limit is $25.00 and I prefer casual. I would also love to pick up some pastries to bring home for the family before taking the T to the airport. I really appreciate any suggestions! (There really isn't any type of food I don't like it just depends on my mood that day.)

Thanks and I look forward to enjoying your suggestions!

Neptune is a great choice for dinner but your $25 limit will be a problem. There are a lot of other places in the North End that would come closer to your budgets though. The North End is full of some very good Italian places. Just stroll around Salem St and/or Hanover St and try whatever looks good. On Salem I like Antico Forno which just down the block from Neptune. For a great take home gift, stop on Hanover St. at either Mike's Pastry or The Modern Pastry shops and pick up a pound or two of their almond biscotti. They are not perishable and they taste delicious dunked into a cup of coffee. They make killer good cannolis too but unless you are getting directly on the plane they might spoil by the time you get home.

Thank you so much for the suggestions. I went ahead and looked at Antico Forno and the Modern Pastry. I think I will definitely have to include those into my Boston food feast! The Linguine Al Fruitti Di Mare sounds delicious! I think I will save these for my way out of town so I can pick up some biscotti to bring home and maybe a cannoli for dessert before heading off to Logan. Thank you again for the great ideas!

Grotto, Figs, Parish Cafe, and Marliave are my favorite good-value places within close range of your hotel.

I'm not a fan of the food, service or atmosphere at Antico Forno. If you like fantastic pizza, don't miss the original Pizzeria Regina in the North End, and I agree with the rec to follow it up with cannoli at Mike's.

2nd Neptune, maybe you'll need to skimp on lunch but, Neptune is worth it. Also go to Modern, skip Mike's.

          I'd recommend some oil-free fare (:<{-)

If you're in that hood all three days I would make sure to hit Sam Lagrassa's and Zo in addition to Chacarero for your three lunches.
