Kolaches

Does anyone in New Orleans make them? Fruit or savory. I would settle for either.

Not sure if this is a step in the right direction txgirl but I ran across an article on Maple Street Patisserie, 7638 Maple Street and the owners are Patricia Ann Donohue and Ziggy Cichowski. Call me crazy but with a "Ski" doing the baking there just might be Kolaches in the display case. If not most of the other reviews I've read have RAVED about the products coming from their oven. Good Luck!

P.S. Saveur magazine did have recipes for several sweet varities of Kolaches if you have the time and the inclination.

I haven't seen kolaches at MSP, but it does have a variety of other great pastries.

If you find any, please let me know. I used to drive from Austin to West for the sole reason of going to Czech Stop.

I've seen fruit ones at Cafe Luna at Nashville & Magazine, but I don't know where they get them.
