Where to find gooseberries in the East Bay (or beyond)
I've been around lots of little markets, farmers' markets, and Whole Foods (various locations) and still haven't found gooseberries or cape gooseberries ANYWHERE. Anyone have an idea of where to find them?
I'm in Hayward, but have been known to go as far as San Ramon for their Whole Foods, and am frequently in Napa, so anywhere in between is fair game. I'm hoping not to have to travel into SF, but if I have to, it would ideally be in a BART-able place.
Thanks everyone!

re: Robert Lauriston
I know - I grew up in Hawai'i, and I lived in Cape Town for a while (both places have abundant supplies of cape gooseberries), so I'm familiar with the difference. I'm after both, ideally, but will happily take one or the other.
I just thought I'd ask both in one rather than start two threads. :-)
Thanks for all the replies!

Berkeley Bowl has them. However, I'd call first since they don't always have them. They have different types depending on season.
