University Place/Tacoma Resto recommendations
3 serious eaters will be at Chamber Bay playing golf for 4 days. Need some resto recommendations for dinner. We are open to all types of food, 1 vegeterian in the group.
Definitely would like to try places that focus on local ingredients/seafood but not a requirement. We wont be getting off the course until late, so we would need places that serve until 9/10pm probably.
Any help is appreciated.
Best,
Mike

There is one restaurant in UP that I'd recommend, the Keg. It's a chain but they do a great job. Theres a cafe at the golf course that's supposed to be pretty good, but I haven't tried it personally. Also, theres a fairly new burger place called Leftys that offers up good eats.

I agree with Leper's list except for The Spar, and would add instead, Primo Grill as Libstewart suggested. I don't know if Leper intended to put them in order of preference, but if so, I'd only drop Stanley and Seaforts closer to the bottom, giving particular recommendations for Maxwell's, Marzano's, Primo Grill and Indochine.

There's not much at University Place--especially after 8:00. In Tacoma try:
1. Maxwell's Speakeasy
2. Stanley & Seaforts
3. Marzano's in Parkland (You'll need reservations)
4. Indochine (Pan-Asian) (The Pacific Avenue location, not the University Place. They are two different owners)
5. Sapporo in Fife (Excellent Japanese & Sushi)
6. Vuelva A La Vida (Authentic Mexican; excellent seafood)
7. Asado (Argentinian steakhouse)
8. The Spar in Old Town (Classic pub grub)-----
