The Challenge: Bachelorette Party in NYC
So I'm planning a bachelorette party for a friend of mine who is a HUGE foodie - has a food blog in San Fran and is hired to write reviews for food and wine festivals and new restaurants - so the pressure is on. There will be around 8-10 ladies - ideally I want a really fun atmosphere with delicious food - potentially tapas style so we can share and do a tasting of sorts. Budget - around 50-60/person. I wanted to do Casa Mona - as it's one of my favourites, but they can't take tables for more than 6.
Any suggestions?

Kuma Inn - food cost is about $40pp and it's BYOB
Boqueria - they have a group dining menu for $40pp
Otto - they have several group dining prix fixes and beverage packages that are all you can drink
Alta - they have two areas for large groups and you can order "The Whole Shebang" which is every small plate on the menu-----

I'm with the Boqueria suggestion. First reason is that there's really not enough good Spanish restaurants/tapas places in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Secondly, the $60 pp budget is very doable, with reasonable wine orders, in Boqueria.

you can try Boqueria Soho. See their website under info: http://www.boquerianyc.com/ - I've done this $40 a person group dinner before, for a friend's 30th bday party and it went over very well. The scene is conducive for a bachelorette party, and the food was delicious.
