No Seafood!
Three of us are taking our almost annual trip to New Orleans, and 2 out of 3 of us don't eat and seafood, but LOVE to eat. Does anyone have any suggestions of some great restaurants that offer a lot of non-seafood optinos? It's no fun to read a menu and only have 2 or 3 things to choose from! Thanks!

All the Big Boys will have beef dishes, some chicken dishes. Sweetbreads, long ignored in all but a few places, have been re-discovered and are showing up in more spots. I'd be careful ordering a steak at a local place like Mandina's, though, since it is not really a specialty item there but could be served with a good sauce. But the well-known houses all have steaks or chops...and you can opt out of the seafood garnish that many will offer. The well-known places have better quality of meats, though, and generally have peopoe who know what to do. the one exception I can relate is when Commander's Palace served me a raw lamb chop but that was many years ago.
