Velma's Place: Trussville Alabama

Open since 1938 so I reckon they must be doing something right.

Who's been?

How's the burger?

With Trussville's rampant growth one wonders how long little joints like this will continue onward.

  1. Never been, but I have a girlfriend who *swears* by their hamburgers! Somewhere I got the impression that they were a bar (is that right?) - she says that they can't be beat.

I have been once or twice, but was not even aware that they serve food. It is basically a beer joint. There was karaoke going on when I was there, if my beer-soaked memory serves me well.

That is hilarious. I can not picture my friend going into a bar for a hamburger. It must be *really* good.

Speaking of little Trussville joints, Joel's seems to be packed every time I go by! Doing good.

(...and I can't mention Trussville and not bring up Seafood and Chicken box, which has moved into a new shopping center but started out in a little down-and-out development. Love that salty chicken.)

I have enjoyed your website Kudzu. Good luck.
