  1. Hey! Are you going to the Old Crow Medicine Show? If so, me too! Sadly, there is absolute zero choices for food in the immediate vicinity of the Pheonix. Last time I was there we hopped on the College streetcar and headed west to Sneaky Dee's, for some beautiful kings crown nachos. Me thinks i may do this again.

Yes!! Should be an awesome show!! Too bad about the area's drink/food prospects.
Have to do something similar after the show........

      1. The House on Parliament is not too far. That's where I usually go before Phoenix shows.

        1. The place that was formerly the Red Lion is now called the Blake House, run by the same guy who ran the Groundhog Pub at Bloor & Sherbourne. Blake House is just a short walk away on Jarvis. They have some good beers on tap and a nice patio out front. They totally renovated the inside, but so far I've only ever sat out on the patio.

I haven't eaten my way though the whole menu, but food seems fine - a notch above standard pub fare, and head-and-shoulders above the awful stuff they tried to pass off as food at the Red Lion.

There's also Hair of the Dog on Church.

I second The Blake House. It's only been open for about 3 weeks but stopped on last Sunday. The food we've tried was solid and would make for perfect post show pub food. Prices were reasonable and service was friendly and efficient too.

Not sure how late their kitchen is open on Tuesday so would suggest calling them. You'll be getting out probably around midnight or later and Hair fo the Dog's kitchen usually shuts around 11 on the weekends so that wouldn't be an option. Sneeky Dee's will serve food until at least 2AM so that's a solid back up.
