Any great vegetarian choices for a restaurant.com gift certificate?

Today restaurant.com is offering $25 gift certificates for $2. I live in MA and want to get a certificate for a friend. Are there any featured restaurants on the website that have great vegetarian food in DC or NOVA?

I've searched this board and have read about Lebanese Taverna, Amma's, Saran, Rasika, Fusion, Jaleo and Del Ray. None of them are part of the restaurant.com deal. Nirvana on K is closed.

Thanks for your help!

Do you have a list of eligible restaurants?

There are 240 restaurants listed within 10 miles of his Arlington zipcode, 22209. That's too many for me to list here, but if you, or anyone else is who reads this, are willing to take a look at them on www.restaurant.com, you can comment on participating places. And if you are interested, you too can get a $25 certificate for $2. Enter promo code: FUN at checkout and hit "apply." The I have absolutely no affiliation with the website. It's just a good deal. I bought 6 certificates for Boston area restaurants today: $150 worth of food for $12.

I'll be honest with you, I took a look at the restaurants listed and they are not the best choices. Some of them I've never even heard of. And the ones I have, I wouldn't necessarily buy a gift certificate for.

That said, in DC at least there are 2 options. Himalayan Heritage is suppose to be quite good and I think has lots of vegetarian options (I haven't been yet but I hear good things). Another option would be Asylum. It's usually a biker type bar with a cool atmosphere. But on the weekends they have a vegetarian/vegan brunch that your friend might like.

I've heard good things about Himalayan Heritage as well. Also, Singapore Bistro is on the list. I had a wonderful meal there once and plan to go back.

I just bought them for Himalayan Heritage and Singapore Bistro. The HH one is a good deal. Pay $2 and get $25 taken off your $35+tab. The SB one isn't such a good deal - I'm kind of sorry I bought it now, but live and learn. You get $25 off, but you have to spend $60 to use the certificate. They don't expire.

Thanks for the suggestions. I bought one for Himalayan Heritage.
