Fresh chicken livers in OC

I'm going to make cook and eat chicken livers for the first time so what's the best source for the freshest and best chicken livers in Orange County? I don't want to be forever turned off something just because the first time I tried it, the ingredient wasn't very good.

    Hi hobess,

When you arrive here, your frickin’ chicken will still be kickin’. They will butcher and part it out per your request. I’ve only bought whole chickens (hearts, livers, gizzards detached inside), but livers only should not be a problem. They also sell high quality, fresh-laid eggs with rich, delicious yolks.

You might also try a Kosher or Hallal market. There is OC Kosher Market in Tustin, plus another market in South OC, check the Kosher boards. I don't specifically know any Hallal markets, but any area with a decent Islamic population is going to support at least one.

Another place to try might be the Tustin Whole Foods... I have had good luck with chicken livers there.

OC Poultry and Rotisserie on Ball Road and State College in Anaheim. I would suggest calling ahead to make sure they have it for you.

As an alternate you could also call Gem Meats on Yorba Linda Blvd. in Fullerton.
