Inwood?
I'm staying with a friend in the far north of Manhattan (Inwood) and my chow search returned zilch. Does anyone have any picks for this area or pointers? Picture two younger folks (her: 20's, me 30) who will probably book end meals with rock shows, etc.. but are willing to pay up to $50 per head for dinner (sans drinks).
Definitely hit up Dyckman Street, between Broadway and Payson. You have Mamamjuana, Corcho, Il Sole, Mama Sushi and a diner as well. You could also go to several spots on Broadway, including Hashi Sushi on 214th Street, Piper's Kilt for pub food between 207th and 211th and Garden Cafe across the street for Italian/American cuisine, and don't forget the best chicken you've ever had (no ambience) for $10 with side dishes like beans and rice and tostones at La Nueva Ambiente between 211th and 212th. Bon apetite!
