rehearsal dinner - Salento or Porcini

I am helping organize a rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding party. We will have 20 or possibly 22 people and would like it to be in the Rittenhouse Square area so we can walk to it after the rehearsal. Private rooms are available for a party our size at both Salento and Porcini. Any thoughts about which one is better? Or any other suggestions? (I also tried Branzino but they would not do a party of 20 in their private room since it seats 45).

  1. I like them both but for this occasion recommend Salento. More to choose from on the menu, great service.

    1. I have never been to Porcini and it's been a good year since I've been to Salento, but I loved Salento. It's not the most amazing space and it's on a pretty ugly area of the street, so if ambiance is important you might want to think about that...but I did love the food.

      1. Are you set on Italian? If not, Estia could be very nice. I've heard good things about Bistrot La Minette, which has a private room for 20 and is BYOB, but I'm not sure if 6th Street is too far for you.

Bistrot La Minette is very good and does have a lovely private room, but is not byob - they have a full bar
