Where to go for a teenager girls 17th birthday with 8 of her friends?

My daughter would like to celebrate her birthday at a restaurant with 8 of her friends. She enjoys all types of food. I am interested more in the ambiance. One of her friends celebrated at The Melting Pot and another had a a Tea House. So we were looking for something a littel different or unique. We live in Bergen County.

Is Rodizo the Brazilian type food with all the meat?

For ambiance for a 17 year old party you might want to check out Archetypus Cafe in Edgewater. www.archetypus.com

Also Mount Fuji in Hillburn, NY just across the state line off route 17 is fun. Go to Hillburn not Hasbrouk Heights if you want ambiance.

How about Hibatachi or Rodizo like cling0017 suggested?
They are both a little more than just a plain sit down meal.

Medieval Times is fun if you are more interested in the ambiance than the food. Also, I've heard good things about Sushi Cruise in Edgewater (I think they do the rotating sushi bit which could be fun). Rodizio could be fun too with a group, I would look more to Newark area for that.
