Here's a list of restaurants I enjoy around that area

    Chinese: Chef Ping

Indian: Vishnu (on Algonquin, next to Micky D near the intersection with Quentin)

Japanese: Daruma, Kurumaya, San To Ka (the ramen place in Mitsuwa)

    Deep Dish Pizza: Lou Malnati's

    Korean: Woo Lae Oak

Mexican Bakery: Bravo Bakery (on Algonquin, near intersection with Busse)

American: Ted's Grill (for their buffalo burgers and prime ribs), Millrose Restaurant

    Woo Lae Oak
3201 Algonquin Rd, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008

    Daruma Restaurant

I haven't been to either of the Schaumburg locations, but Lou Malnati's is always a great choice for deep-dish pizza.

Is Glenview within 20 minutes of Hoffman Estates? If so, I recommend Periyali (Greektown level food with pretty nice outdoor dining) and Cafe Lucci (Italian with great service and wine list). Both are on Milwaukee just north of Golf. You are also within reach of Mitsuwa, a Japanese supermarket with a fun food court, which is on Arlington Heights and Algonquin.

No. Depending on where in each town, it's about 35-40 minutes away.

If Greek food is the objective, Yanni's in Arlington Heights is a lot closer to Hoffman Estates.

Here are my favorites in that area:

Shaw's Crab House (seafood, Schaumburg) - www.shawscrabhouse.com (Schaumburg location of the Chicago favorite)

Salsa 17 (creative Mexican, Arlington Heights) - www.salsa17.com (don't miss the moles)

altThai (Thai, Arlington Heights) - www.altthai.com

Walker Brothers (breakfast/brunch, Arlington Heights) - www.walkerbrosoph.com (don't miss the puffed-up, cinnamony apple pancake)

Here are two more places for breakfast; I think the food is better at Walker Brothers, but these other two are closer and you may prefer the more convenient location:

      Richard Walker's (Schaumburg) - www.richardwalkers.com
Apple Villa (Hoffman Estates) - www.applevillapancakes.com

Similarly, I've been to this Thai restaurant and it's not bad; I think the food is better at altThai, but this is closer and you may prefer the more convenient location:

Taste of Thai (Hoffman Estates) - www.tasteofthaionline.com
