restaurant recs near Sodus Point in Western NY (between Rochester and Syracuse)?

On Sodus Bay for the summer and looking for places to eat, other than Hots Point (though they *do* have great custard). Nearish to Webster, could drive to Geneva or the western edge of Syracuse. Happy to spend most of the summer eating fresh corn from Burnaps, buying organic eggs at the egg stand on route 14 just south of 104, and eating custard wherever I can get it, but a restaurant meal or two over the course of the summer would be great, and none of the places we've eat have been any good.

  1. My inlaws live on the water in Ontario, the area is certainly not a culinary mecca. Last summer we dined at The Pultneyville Grill
It was pretty good for the kind of food you can get in that area.
I have not dined there but have been told that Hedges is pretty good.

    1. Bazil restaurant in Webster is a great Italian restaurant....the prices are very reasonable and most of their entrees are all you can eat, as well as the salad and bread sticks.

      1. This may not be too helpful, but years ago when I used to drive that road there were some very working-class restaurants around Williamson which catered to the Mexican/Central American workers in the area. Might be worth a look.....

        1. Old Erie Restaurant in Weedsport NY. Owners of this nice little resto in this nondescript little town are both culinary school grads, and it shows. Great lunches and dinners, very easy to get to from I-90. Anybody hungry between Rochester and Syracuse on I-90 should visit this place.
