Can you define "baby food"? My baby and toddler eat out all the time. The baby will eat anything tasty.
Or are you specifically for purred. If so, I can't help you. I never would have given restaurant food to the first and the second won't touch purees.

I think the problem with the original post is that most babies are quite poor and can't afford to pay, so most restaurants won't cater to them. Or, have the Gerber jars become too heavy to carry? (Sigh, so many jokes, so little time...)
On a serious note, I think she's probably looking for stuff like gourmet Gerber.... I'm sure if she asked most restaurants for a steamed veggie platter without seasoning and, then pureed, they may be able to pull it off. However, I have yet to see this concept.

Assuming this isn't a joke or an attempt to get material (or start a viral, only-in-L.A. thread for global ridicule...), I think the short answer has to be "no". Babies can't seem to agree on what baby foods they actually like, and the range of food I've seen served to babies past the milk/formula stage is as varied as that consumed by their parents.
That said, we found that Jewish delis had a lot of options, from applesauce, the little bits from chicken soup, over-steamed veggies, fresh fruit bowls, etc., so hit all of those. Any ethnic place will surely think you out of your, uh, gourd, if you request something like homemade (or un-homemade) baby food - we asked the waitress at our local Thai restaurant what Thai babies eat, and after a brief huddle w/ the staff, it was unanimous: broth.
That said, jacopoli, you're probably on to a great business idea, and I fully expect to see something like that on a menu in Santa Monica any day now.
(Dr. Bruin - also, they're terrible tippers!)

Not a restaurant, but there's Pomme Bébé next to Kéan Coffee on Westcliff in Newport Beach; you can get the gourmet stuff to go and take it with you and ask restaurants to heat it up (or give you hot water to do it yourself).
There's not much chance of what you're looking for, because frankly the type of parents who would be interested in that would also probably be hugely concerned about what exactly went into the food, and all have different bêtes noires ("Oh! He can't possibly have oil yet." "MY baby only eats orange and green vegetables."). It'd be impossible to keep up with.
