Great Food Truck right off I-91 exit 6 (Vermont Country Store)
Once again this summer the VT Country Store is hosting an amazing little food truck that dishes out great locally sourced, home-cooked and delicious food -- perfect for a lunch stop when time is of the essence but you can't stomach a fast food joint or a hot dog stand. I've had a very tasty black bean and chevre burrito with hand-chopped salsa, indonesian rice salad, juicy pastrami sandwiches with spicy mustard, pulledpork sandwiches, home made berry pies, home baked breads and rolls -- it's like stumbling into a fabulous pot luck picnic where very dish is a winner! There are burgers and dogs for the less adventurous or kids who want something "plain". And the family that runs it are lovely, friendly people --exactly who you'd like to run into after a long, hot day on the highway. And if home made pies and cobblers for dessert aren't what you're in the mood for (are you insane?!?) -- go inside the store and check out their stunning array of bulk candy -- grapefruit slices...yummy!!!
