Lamb Chops - OC

groover808 Jul 3, 2010 07:57 PM

The bf loves them and we had some fantastic ones awhile ago at Sterling Cucina in Huntington Beach awhile ago. Some of the recent places I've tried them at were just ok, anyone know of a a place serving decent lamb chops in OC?

Blacksheep Bistro in centre city Tustin. They serve it three ways, too, just order "Borrego, Borrego, Borrego".

For a home based treat you can get either the lamb chops or rack of lamb from Costco. They're very good. Just broiled in an iron or blue steel pan, or on a good grill, oh my, nothing has tasted as good. You can also get rather good chops from almost any of the Middle Eastern markets, from Wholesome Foods and the one near the Caspian in Irvine, as well as the Jordan Market on Alicia by the 5.

24771 Alicia Pkwy, Laguna Hills, CA 92653

Get the rib lamb chops from Costco, remove excess fat, cover in sauce of choice, bake at 450 for 15 minutes for rare/medium rare, and serve, with no broiling involved.
My favorite topping in lieu of sauce is major quantities of diced/minced garlic and finely chopped rosemary, adhered to the skin by a light coat of olive oil.
