Where to get a somewhat authentic Philly Cheesesteak in the NY metro area
One thing I miss about Philadelphia: Being able to get a decent cheesesteak at almost any time of the day or night almost anywhere. Why can't anyone export the whole cheesesteak experience to New York? Some say it's the bread, and I partially agree; Philly hoagie rolls are different from hero rolls that you find elsewhere. They say that it has to do with the water; could be true. Perhaps I'm gonna open up a cheesesteak stand or truck somewhere on Long Island.
