Seville Oranges?

brooklynroxie Jul 2, 2010 07:32 PM

Does anyone happen to know where I can find Seville oranges in the city? I need them to make orange bitters and would rather stick to the recipe, which calls for Sevilles, the first time I make them (it?). I cannot, for the life of me, find them in Manhattahn. I saw some at Fairway YEARS ago and literally not since.

The Seville orange season is short, from December to February, so I don't think you'll find them now.

Ah. Thanks, Kathryn. It isn't until these summer months that I am able to tackle these projects and I should have researched that minor point. No wonder. Thanks again.

When they are in season, Manhattan Fruit Exchange at Chelsea Market usually has them.
