Eats in Andersonville?
Going to watch the Cubbies lose on the 4th then will head north with 3-4 hours to kill before fireworks. Looking to have a few drinks and then dinner or viceversa, not necessarily in the same place. Will probably head to Hopleaf but it may be crowded? Looking for places b/w Wrigleyville and Andersonville that fit one or both(drinks and/or dinner). kthxbai!

It's difficult to tell what will be crowded on the 4th, because it's a Sunday this year.
Since you're looking for places between Lakeview (Wrigleyville) and Andersonville, there are several neighborhoods along the way: Lakeview, North Center, Lincoln Square, Uptown, and Andersonville. There are excellent places to eat in all of these - but you will need to check with the restaurants (or on Opentable.com) to make sure they're open on the 4th. Hopleaf is a good place for drinking, and they have mussels and fries, but there are lots of good restaurants in those neighborhoods for dinner. Such as...

Magnolia Cafe (Uptown, contemporary American) - www.magnoliacafeuptown.com
Tank Noodle (Uptown, Vietnamese) - www.tanknoodle.com
Big Jones (Andersonville, Southern) - www.bigjoneschicago.com
All of these except Spoon Thai, Magnolia Cafe, and Tank Noodle accept reservations on Opentable.com. Now the bad news: all of the restaurants that accept reservations on Opentable.com are showing NO availability there for Sunday evening dinner, which most likely means they're closed. You can try calling them to see if they are open and can give you a reservation over the phone, but otherwise, you'll need to try some other place. Anteprima, an Italian place in Andersonville, is showing availability on Opentable (I haven't been there). mxyzptlk!
