I need a GREAT cake for a 40th birthday party in New Haven, CT. Any suggestions?

Lucibello's is an Italian pastry shop. Their specialty cakes are made with cassata filling and sweetened whipped cream.

Also 15 or 20 minutes from New Haven, depending on traffic:

Can't recommend anyone in New Haven proper (I was born, grew up there and worked in the bakery business there), BUT make the 20 minute trip to Milford and order your special occasion cake from Sweet Designs.

Laurene work is unbelievable. We have used her for wedding, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

Top notch quality and design at very reasonable prices. Well worth the trip.

Thanks for the lead! I'll be coming from Fairfield, so making a stop in Milford is no problem. I will definitely check it out.

Please be aware this is not a bakery where you can just drop in and pick up a ready made cake. This is made to order. Please spend time on her website or call on the phone.

Thanks...got it. I just meant that Milford is convenient. I do plan on ordering ahead, for sure.
