Albany, High end Restaurant

I will be in Albany the middle of next week. What are the high end restaurants? It's a special occasion (anniversity). Any cuisine except Asian (or Indian).

I have searched this board but there are so many choices, I'm confused.

Thanks,

KenB

kenb, where did you end up? How was it?

Second Dale Miller or Yono's (formal dining room, not casual restaurant - they have Indonesian and American/continental menus). Yono's has live music some nights. I don't feel Jack's is appropriate for an annniversary. Also, I've had inconsistent experiences there. Have not been to 677 Prime or Brown Derby.

        A thread on Dale Miller:

You can check out Yono's and Dale Miller's menus:

        www.yonosrestaurant.com
        www.dalemillerrestaurant.com

Yono's is on www.opentable.com which makes reserving easy.

SO advised that he prefers Saratoga National (unfortunately, NOT in Albany) over 677 Prime.

Almost forgot . . . if you choose Dale Miller you might want to request the terrace (dine under the stars) or one of the tables around the dining room perimeter. They are in cozy, enclosed booths. Perfect for an anniversary.

we liked yonos quite a bit and although there's asian on the menu, there's also many fine choices that are not. we went last year for our anniversary and had a great time.

Dale Miller, 677 Prime, Jack's, The Brown Derby are all high end and downtown.

I would add McGuire's to Amy H.'s list.
