HELP! Anyone been to CHEZ NAPOLEON recently?

Interested in trying Chez Napoeleon and was wondering what their best dishes are.

Duck confit / cassoulet / stuffed quail, etc

  1. We were there a few weeks ago and had a very nice meal. Had the mussels to start and the duck confit and steak au poivre as mains. Enjoyed all three dishes very much, particularly the duck confit. The au poivre was very rich and quite spicy. I can see it being hit or miss depending on one's taste. For me, it was a decadent treat. I should also note that the steak itself was not the best quality -- but the sauce made up for it.

      Thanks for the tip, kiworan! I'm looking forward to trying the duck... and a Grand Marnier souffle (yum!!!)

        Yeah -- we missed out on the souffle. Apparently, when we were there the in house souffle specialist was out of town. Let us know how it is!

          You betcha! How is the atmosphere there? Quiet and subdued or loud and lively?

            It is rather quiet. As far as food goes, the reason I love it is they have so many organ meats. The brains are to die for. Also a very nice venison steak. Some of the appetizers are forgettable. Ask the advice of the servers, they will tell you honestly if something is not good, and the specials are generally very good.
