Breakfast in Spokane?

gmm Jul 1, 2010 08:36 PM

Any recommendations for a good basic breakfast joint in Spokane? Nothing too fancy or expensive, that can cook eggs correctly and maybe have some good corned beef hash and eggs benedict.
My parents like to go out for breakfast in the area at least twice a week and have been to:
GW Hunters (Post Falls) - decent
IHOP - decent
Wall Street Diner - good
The Old European - no
Mollys- no
Old Country Buffet - no
Perkins - no

Would love to find some other places for them to try.

Best place that I have had breakfast in Spokane was on Second Street I beleive, it is an old train car and had fabulous food, not a lot of seating but it was great. I am trying to find the name. I think it was Franks Diner.

Yes, it is Frank's Diner. Other good places that are similar (good basic breakfast) are the Perry Street Cafe and the Cottage Cafe in the Valley.

The link in your post is for Franks on Newport Highway, the one downtown should be

        Frank's Diner
        1516 West 2nd Avenue, Spokane - (509) 747-8798
