Good eats near BWI?

I'm staying at the Staybridge Suites just northwest of the airport in a few weeks for 3 days, and need to know where I should spend my $71 per diem!

+1 for Grace Garden, although read the posts here because it is a hole in the wall. Great food, but don't expect decor, etc.

If you need to crash near the hotel at the end of the day, Little Spice gets good comments for Thai and Maiwand Kabob serves casual Afghan food. I particularly like Maiwand Kabob for bread, kabobs and vegetables. Try the pumpkin or any of the appetizers.

If you have the energy to drive a little, I think the bar at Victoria Gastropub would be a good place for a burger and a beer. That is easy to reach from Rte 100. Or, if you don't have Korean where you live, consider Shin Chon Garden for some Korean BBQ on Rte 40.

Hate them. They admit that they are made with cheap, flavorless Asian swimmer crab rather than sweet blue crab. They're big, but that's like saying that 5 big macs is the equivalent of small plates at Charleston.

Two places I'd recommend: Little Spice Thai cuisine on Dorsey Road south of BWI, and The Wine Market, an easy 10-15 minute drive north on the BW Parkway to I-95 North to Key Highway. Both have decent websites.

I'm also a hater of G & M. But - just within sight, I love Snyder's Willow Grove. Especially if you're looking for a time traveling machine to the past.

I kind of like them.
How much you want to bet that most of the food snobs couldn't tell the difference in a blind tasting? How much you want to bet that most of the places they like use the "cheap" Asian crabs, too, but unlike G&M lie about it? (Hint: Anywhere you can order them year round, they are using imported crabmeat.)

Victoria would be a good option if it weren't further from BWI than Grace Garden; driving past GG to get to Victoria is a crime.

gunnings crab house off route 100 is near where you are and has good seafood and maryland style crabs
