Artisanal non-alcoholic cider?

Are there any California alcohol-free apple ciders that are less sweet than Martinelli's? And if so, where can they be bought? Thanks.

  1. There are several cider makers in San Luis Obispo area. Most are unfiltered and I'm not sure they are made in the old fashioned cider press fashion, but they are sure good.

Apple Farm Inn in SLO sells cider fresh, or frozen for travelling convenience, year-round a their Mill House; made in Paso by Chadmark Farms.

The small and historic apple-growing area of See Canyon near Avila beach has several apple farms with stand selling fresh cider during apple season. (August---early Dec.)

Avila Valley Barn sells cider year round, I believe.

Our local ciders are delicious lightly chilled in summer or heated with spices during the winter months. These fresh ciders all need refrigeration at all times.

Gizdich Ranch in Watsonville probably sells cider--they make wonderful apple pie! W'ville is home to Martinelli's and is a historic apple growing region.
