Bouchon - what to order?

I'll be eating at Bouchon for the first time this weekend, what's the best things to order? Foie Gras Terrine worth the price? I'm considering the Croque Madam, mussels, and possibly the macaroni gratin. Nothing on the dessert menu jumps out at me and I'm not a huge fan of the items offered in the first place, but will consider dessert if it's worth the effort.

    Lucky you! Have the steak frite. The best pile of fries this side of St. Germaine.

      I love the Boudin Blanc. It is one of the best sausages I have ever had. I believe they do not make it but it is absolutely delicious.

      The only desserts that I felt were really good were the ice cream and the chocolate mousse.

        second the boudin, perfectly paired with creamy potatoes and carmelized apple...the mussels are good (nice saffron broth), escargot solid as well, i had a lamb special there once i did not like

        the only items i liked when i dined there were: foie terrine, escargot bourgogne and french onion soup

        the following were meh: beet salad, moules frites, salmon rilette and lamb shank

        mind you i went the 2nd or 3rd day they were open so they may have been working out the kinks.

          Recommend the mussels - very tender and the roast chicken is one of the best.

            I'm not much of a dessert person either, and I thought the lemon tart was AMAZING. I also had the Croque Madame - smart choice. Have fun!

              I agree, the chicken is cooked perfectly. Crisp skin, very tender meat and it was served piping hot. Unfortunately, when I had it, it was WAY over seasoned with salt. I'd still try it again in hopes of it being a mistake.
