how will (if at all) the hst affect your dining out habits?

    It will probably make very little difference to me. The recession has already made such a huge impact on a lot of people and restaurants that the HST will seem like a drop in the bucket.

      I wonder what will happen to the food court places that do not charge tax upfront. Will they increase their prices to account for HST? Hmm... foodcourts may be my dining place choice for a little while until I get used to HST.

        Argh, paid my first HST today at Safeway, on buns. Seven percent extra on seven grain rolls, ironic!

          Maybe just marketing, but DB Bistro has apparently dropped their prices a couple bucks on most items in response to the HST, at least for the summer:
