Upper East Side- Need upscale Italian restaurant that also serves pizza

Our friends are visiting from Az. and have requested the above. I looked at Spigolo, Sfoglia, and Paola's and don't see even an appetizer pizza. Can you offer some recs that will make our friends happy?

    1. New place called Tres Otto on Madison btw 97th and 9th. I've had two stellar meals there, and while I haven't tried the pizza yet it is their speciality. Its been jam packed since it opened so reservations are a must. They also have a nice back patio.

I can't find a phone number to call for a reservation. Nor can I find a sample menu fo this place. Can anyone help out?

We had dinner at Tre Otto tonight. I won't be back. My artichoke was tough and dry - undercooked and tasteless shoe leather, the pasta alla chitarra was reminiscent of cat food. Service was laughably awkward and amateurish - even annoying.

Sorry to hear that. We have had 3 amazing dinners at Tre Otto. The service was friendly, although one time was kind of amateurish.

What did you eat that was "amazing?"

The pappardelle with duck ragout, the gnocchi, burratta (it was a special), salmone in crosta. All very good. For dessert I loved their biscotti.

        2. ate there a few nights ago and even though the staff greatly out numbered the customers, it took more than 10 minutes for me to get any service and the poor service continued throughout the meal. the meal itself was equally bad
