Rennet/cheesemaking supplies in triangle?

Hi all, I'm in Durham and have been having trouble finding rennet. Wholefoods didn't have any (although they admit to being asked for it all the time) and I'd prefer not to order it if I can buy it in the area. Anyone know where it can be found?

I have seen rennet at Earthfare in the fridge section with the tofu. funny place for it.

Harmony Farms in Raleigh has rennet. Also kefir and yogurt starters. If you are making a special trip, call first since they occasionally sell out.

That's where I got my rennet years ago, come to think of it. They also sell goat milk and other fun stuff.

The goat milk is variable - lately they have had it. But I would call first if you are coming from a distance.

I bought rennet there a few months ago and then promptly forgot about it - I need to experiment with it!

The local homebrew/home winemaking shops may carry cheese making supplies. Durham Brewmaster may have it. American Brewmaster in Raleigh or Fifth Season Garden Supply may as well. In Durham, the Coop might as well.

        Hope this helps.

Thanks! I'll have to check the Coop and the Brewster out.
