Hi! I will be visiting Montreal at the end of July and am looking for a place to get moules and frites...anywhere in the city is great as long as they are tasty, thanks!

  1. (I will probably get flammd into oblivion ... ) There's La Moulerie on Bernard St. it's kind of an institution, been there forever ... I think it's a nice place to go on a nice evening if you're not too afraid of the crowd.

There's also "Le Petit Moulinsart" (old-montreal) or "Bieres et Compagnies" (st-denis st.).

You think you are getting flamed Maximilien? I think the moules frites are one of the two best things at Creperie Ty Breiz on Rachel (no, the other one is not crepes).

But it is hard to really mess up moules, and the Moulerie has a very nice terrasse in a nice neighbourhood.

Does anybody remember how much the moules-a-volonte are at Biere et Compagnies? Or anywhere else for that matter?

$12.99 on Sundays and Mondays at Maestro SVP.

      2. My favourite place (and by far!) is on the south shore of Montreal. It is called Bistro des bières belges (www.bistrobelge.com). They have amazing mussels, and an extensive beer list! Their terrasse is also very cozy.

        1. I've had some pretty good moules & frites at Brasserie Holder on McGill street in Old Montreal. I like the atmosphere there as well.

          1. Ottavio in VSL and Laval has great mussels with house-cut fries, AND they're all-you-can-eat Monday through Wednesday.
