Reasonably priced group meal in Old Montreal / Latin Quarter?

There is a group of 10 of us (late 20s/early 30s) staying in Montreal this weekend at the UQAM residences (located at Saint-Urbain & Sherbrooke). I'm looking for dinner recommendations somewhere close to where we are staying - possibly in Old Montreal or the Latin Quarter? Entrees priced under $20 would be reasonable and a "fun" atmosphere would be nice. Type of cuisine doesn't matter. Suggestions?

les 3 brasseurs (on st-Denis st.) could do it.

or have dinner at le st-boch (their microbreweries selection is quite nice) and then walk next door for more drinking at st-sulpice

I think L'Amere a Boire is another good choice...great home brew and good food too. (Latin Quarter not Old Montreal...)

Does anyone have any ideas on this one? We have a group coming up in September and we would like to book a place in Old Montreal that is inexpensive and fun as well.
