dinner recommendations in Pasadena for NY'ers

there are a few visitors from NY coming this week and need suggestions for dinner in pasadena. I think both are self proclaimed foodies and believe one of them works in the food/wine industry. one is a vegetarian and they don't want chinese or eat at a chain (roys' cheesecake factory). they want sort of a semi fancy pants dinner so taco trucks are out. i'm all out of ideas. help me please!

* The Dining Room at the Langham Hotel - Chef Voltaggio (Top Chef) is cooking there until next month. You can go there, order their Tasting Menu and let the chef wow your food-loving friends. :)

noir is closed on the night they want to go. they've both been to the langham dining room and loved it but i think they want something one step below that. sorry for the miscommunication.

How about Saladang Song for Thai-they have a great patio and would be veggie friendly. Otherwise maybe the Raymond?
