Tims Kitchen HK - Dim Sum?

Hi,

Am travelling through Hong Kong in July and am after a few places to eat, would love to try Tims Kitchen based on its good write ups on the board, is it a good place for dim sum or much more of an evening meal place?

Thanks in advance

  1. Tim's Kitchen does not do Dim Sum.
For good to great Dim Sum lunch, give Golden Leaf in the Conrad, Fook Lam Moon, Fu Sing. Fan Tang or Sun Tung Lok ( Kowloon MIRA Hotel ) a try!

      Charles,

Many thanks for the tips I wil certianly look into them. I did however recently contact TK and the lunch menu they sent does include dim sum on it, maybe a new addition since they moved?

Indeed! If I could upload the pdf they sent for their lunch menu I would, any tips to do so most welcome, that way everyone can see what they are now offering at their new establishment

I've only been able to upload .jpg files onto CH, i.e. photo of the menu card.
Interesting news indeed that Tim's Kitchen has made a foray into offering dim sum. Obviously their new premises & larger kitchen space helped.

Most certainly will, Charles - unless newer, better joints pop up before then.

                  Charles,

Your suggestions look great, however I am a little intimidated by the non english menu etc online, will there be descriptions/menus/english speakers in your suggestions? I will eat pretty much anything, however am not sre my credit card will pay for everything that could pass my lips when not knowing what it is I am eating.

Every establishments mentioned above have bi-lingual menus and staff who can speak English! Don't worry!!

So I think i have decided on Sun Tung Lok, they have kindly sent me through a menu and it lokos great, anything I should definitely be trying? Was thinking most likely hit the dim sum and a main here or there. Is there only one STL? Quick google and there seems to be one in Causeway Bay but other posts say at MIRA Kowloon, but on their website i coulldn't see any mention of it, HELP?

They've moved from HK to the MIRA hotel on Kowloon side!

                            Thanks yet again Charles

    2. i had a great dim sum experience at TIm Ho Wan in Mong Kok (cheapest 1 star michelin)
and then, at the opposite end of the spectrum, dim sum plus lunch at Lung King Heen (3 star michelin, expensive)
Tim Ho Wan, 40 min wait, pre-order only, 9 dishes $119 hk dollars
      everything made fresh
tried Bourdain's dim sum place at lin heung, and it's the kind of place you have to pour the tea twice, the first time to wash out your utensils...
