Aurora closing

I just received an e-mail from Aurora advising that July 31, 2010 will be their last day.

    Really????? HOw many places has he opened and closed in the past 25 years? I just think he could learn from his mistakes.

      Yes, Avner is a great chef. Thank goodness he spends most of the time in the kitchen because, he's terribly egocentric and self absorbed.

        The one time I went to Aurora (and the first time I posted on chowhound, venting my ire), he did come out and demonstrate his personality ;)

        I know some people do not care for Avner personally, but he is still a great Chef. Best of luck to Avner, Celeste and family.
