Brunch worth munching in the Northeast?

  • 1

I have a friend visiting this weekend from out of town and I said I'd take him to brunch in Philadelphia. But he's staying in the Northeast and won't have a car at his disposal. Are there brunch places worth visiting on Roosevelt Blvd. or am I going to have to pick him up just to take him back to Sabrina's or Morning Glory?

  1. You are in diner territory up there. You have several diners in that area, Tiffany, just south of the Blvd and Welsh as well as the Dining Car on Frankford just south of Academy. Three MOnkeys cafe a gastro pub at the Torresdale train station might be worth considering though their website doesn't have a brunch menu. Further south, Country Club Diner and Mayfair diners used to be great but have gone down hill. You have two jewish deli options, casino deli and jack's on bustleton. Personally if you are willing to drive to CC, I would.
